Introduction:
International Museum Day (May 18) highlights the role of museums in cultural exchange, heritage preservation, and fostering mutual understanding.
To mark this occasion, J&K MyGov invites photography enthusiasts to participate in a contest themed "Treasures of Our Heritage: Museums of Jammu & Kashmir", capturing the art, artifacts, and architecture across J&K’s museums.
Theme:
Treasures of Our Heritage: Museums of Jammu & Kashmir
(Photographs should showcase museums, exhibits, or heritage elements from J&K.)
Eligibility:
Open to all, amateurs and professionals alike.

Submission Guidelines:
• Only original, unpublished works may be submitted.
• Entries must not have won or be under consideration in any other competition.
• Participants must secure necessary permissions for any recognizable individuals featured.
• Legal responsibility for the submitted content rests solely with the participant.
• Entries containing illegal, defamatory, commercial, or copyright-infringing content will be disqualified.

Image Guidelines:
• Original photographs from any device are allowed.
• Basic edits (cropping, brightness adjustment) are permitted; heavy manipulation is not.
• Color and monochrome both accepted.
• File format: .jpg or .png; Size: 2 MB to 10 MB.
• Winners may be asked to submit higher-resolution images.

How to Participate:
• Upload entries via J&K MyGov portal.
• Include a caption or description (up to 50 words) with each photo.

Timeline:
• Launch: May 6, 2025
• Last Date: May 18, 2025
General Terms and Conditions:
• J&K MyGov holds rights to use submitted entries for promotional purposes with due credit.
• Organizers may publish submissions for promotion without guaranteeing an award.
• Some images may be cropped for publishing purposes.
• Winners’ names and works may be showcased across exhibitions, websites, and social media.
• In cases where credit display is impractical (e.g., posters, tickets), it may be omitted.
• Non-compliant entries will be disqualified without prior notice.
• Awards may be revoked if post-submission violations are found.
• All interpretations of the guidelines will be as per the laws of the UT of J&K.
