About the contest
Join the vibrant JKMyGov community and participate in the End Pollution Photo Contest. Through every photograph, expose the reality of pollution — air, water, land, and noise — while also capturing communities, landscapes, and citizens working towards a cleaner, greener Jammu & Kashmir. This initiative aims to build environmental awareness, celebrate the natural beauty of J&K, and inspire collective action to preserve it for generations to come.
How to participate
1. Register on the JKMyGov portal using your mobile number or email address.
2. Navigate to the "End Pollution Photo Contest" on the platform.
3. Capture a compelling photo depicting pollution, its impact, or community-led clean-up efforts in J&K.
4. Submit your photo along with your name, contact number, and email address.
Theme guidance
Participants may capture any of the following — polluted water bodies, air pollution, plastic/solid waste, deforestation, industrial discharge, or conversely: clean-up drives, eco-initiatives, nature restoration, and community green action across J&K.

Evaluation criteria
1. Relevance: Alignment with the "End Pollution" theme
2. Creativity & Impact: Originality, uniqueness, and visual storytelling power
3. Image Quality: Clarity, composition, and overall presentation
Rewards & Recognition
Top 10 participants with the best entries shall be suitably rewarded and recognized by MyGov team. Winners will be announced on the JKMyGov platform.
Terms & conditions
1. Each participant may submit only one entry.
2. The competition is open only to residents of Jammu & Kashmir.
3. The submitted image must be original and must not violate the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, or infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.
4. Entries must not contain any provocative, objectionable, misleading, or inappropriate content.
5. Winning entries shall become the intellectual property of the Information Technology Department, J&K; participants shall not claim any ownership rights over the same.
6. Selected entries may be used by the IT Department, J&K for awareness campaigns, IEC materials, social media, exhibitions, publications, or any other official purpose.
7. JKMyGov reserves the right to cancel, amend, or modify any part of the contest, including Terms, Evaluation Criteria, or timelines. Updates shall be notified on the JKMyGov platform.
8. Participants must ensure their JKMyGov profile details (name, postal address, email, phone) are accurate and updated. Incomplete profiles may lead to disqualification.
9. All entries shall be evaluated by a designated committee whose decision shall be final and binding.
10. Entries shall be judged on creativity, originality, composition, technical quality, artistic merit, visual impact, and effectiveness in conveying an anti-pollution message.
