Encourage participants to create block print patterns ( for reference: motifs on temples/ walls/ heritage buildings/ forts, characters from Basohli Painting, local flora, and fauna, elements of Dogra culture, etc) exclusively depicting the rich cultural heritage and diversity in Jammu Division, in particular, that having relevance to District Samba – traditionally been known as the Sheet on Ka Shehar, meaning the town of Calico Printing. Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom Jammu in collaboration with District Administration Samba is trying to revive this languishing art by bringing youngsters and traditional artisans, together to contemporaries the heritage art.
Rewards:
The participants of selected best entries shall be awarded a certificate of appreciation from Deputy Commissioner Samba and Director Handicrafts and Handloom Jammu.
