Badalta Jammu Kashmir, Badhta Jammu Kashmir -Aman aur Taraqqi ki nayi Tasveer "बदलता जम्मू-कश्मीर ,"बढ़ता जम्मू-कश्मीर" : अमन और तरक्की की नई तस्वीर"
Information Technology Department is delighted to announce a Videography contest for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir. This contest aims to capture the developmental progress in the Union Territory on the occasion of UT Foundation Day (31st October 2023). Participants can showcase their talents and win exciting cash prizes.
Theme:
Participants can enter the contest through any of the below-mentioned themes and can take up any of the subjects for applying in the contest.
1. Infrastructure Development: Major infra projects undertaken in the UT of J&K that will/are proven to be a revolutionary step in the development of J&K. With new rail network, highways, roads & tunnels, smart cities, AIIMS, IIT, IIM, GMC, Power Transmission, Hydropower, Solar power, etc. J&K has leapfrogged to new developmental heights.
2. Human Development: Beneficiary schemes of the government that are proven to be instrumental in transforming the lives of people by getting the due benefits. Some note-worthy schemes such as Ujala, Ujwala, PMAY, SEHAT, purple revolution, PMFBY, Self- employment schemes, farmer-centric schemes, scholarship schemes etc. have helped in the socio-economic development of the people of J&K.
Some examples for reference such as;
I. Short Video with voiceover or caption (English, Hindi Urdu) of a remote household getting an electricity connection for the first time under UJALA scheme
II. Short Video of a women in rural area cooking on LPG available under Ujjwala yojana
III. a person getting free treatment under PMJAY-SEHAT scheme
IV. Short Video of GI-tagged products
V. Short Video with information of the start-ups
VI. Short Video of lavender cultivation
VII. Short Video of saffron cultivation
VIII. Short Video with voiceover of a person getting a domicile certificate, EWS certificate or any other certificate through online mode.
IX. Short Video of a person getting benefitted from other digital services available under the Digital J&K initiative such as JKIGRAMS, e-UNNAT, Apki Zameen Apki Nigrani etc.
X. Short Video depicting changes in the lives of people with road connectivity, mobile connectivity etc.
XI. Short Video showcasing beneficiaries of PM-KISAN, HADP etc.
XII. beneficiaries of mission youth
XIII. Beneficiaries of PMAY, NAREGA etc.
XIV. beneficiaries of Social Welfare Schemes
3. Tourism: Blessed with innumerable exotic locations, J&K is one of the most sought-after Tourist destinations of the world. With Government intervention new avenues such as rafting, fishing, skiing & snowboarding, golfing, trekking & mountaineering, shikara riding, houseboat stay, mountain biking, motorsport, air adventure and watersports etc. are being explored to boost economy. Participants can share short video with voiceover and captions.
4. Digital Transformation in J&K: A short video on the J&K's digital landscape evolved exponentially in the last four years, reflecting a dynamic tech-driven transformation.
5. Development in the sports sector: A short video on the J&K's sports sector underwent significant developments, fostering a new wave of athletic excellence. A short video on the famous sports personalities in Jammu and Kashmir
6.Education Department: : A short video on the Technology Integration and IT-driven learning initiatives in education department like smart classrooms, e-learning etc .
7. Women Empowerment: A short video on the Initiatives like skill development and entrepreneurship opportunities for women
Entry Categories
I. General Age group above 18 years (Entry format: single video film)
II. Special Encouragement (Below 18 years) (Entry format: single video film)
Eligibility
The contest is open to all, professional and amateur, regardless of age and gender.
Submission Guidelines for Short Video Film
1. Entry is limited to original works for which the entrant holds all applicable rights.
2. Entries and the persons depicted therein are restricted to works for which the entrant holds the copyright or for which the entrant has received the prior usage permission of the right holder.
3. Before submitting a work, the entrant is responsible for taking all steps necessary to protect the right of publicity and other rights of persons depicted in the work, including but not limited to obtaining their permission, to avoid any problems related to the infringement of these rights.
4. Entrants are responsible for the resolution of any legal issues arising from their submitted works and agree to pay any costs thereby incurred.
5. Entries including any content from (1) to (4) below may be disqualified at the IT Departments’s discretion:
a. Content that infringes on any laws, or is defamatory or libelous.
b. Content that constitutes or encourages criminal behavior, leads to civil liability, or that otherwise violates laws.
c. Commercial content that promotes products or services.
d. Content in which animals were harmed or manipulated in the making of said Content.
e. Content that infringes on the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or other intellectual property rights of a third person or entity (whether individuals or companies), or violates rights of privacy or publicity.
Video Guidelines
a. A video work consisting of video footage (with a length of 180 to 300 seconds )
b. Any video-recording device may be used.
c. File size: up to 100 MB of video data per work at the time of submission. File format: only MOV or MP4 will be accepted.
d. If any language other than English is used within the video, please ensure that English language subtitles are included for judging.
e. Winners might be asked to provide a higher-resolution video for promotional or display purposes related to the contest.
Selection Procedure
a. After the judging concludes, the winners will be notified via email sent to their registered email address.
b. Winners might also be contacted by telephone or other means as the IT Department deems it necessary to confirm any of the information provided, etc.
c. IT Department will not accept any liability for any disadvantages that arise for any reason as a result of the inability to receive email or similar problems.
Disclaimers
a. Entries are only accepted through Jkmygov.in portal
b. Entering the contest constitutes agreement to the terms and conditions stated in these Entry Guidelines.
c. IT Department reserves the right of final judgment concerning items not expressly stated in these Entry Guidelines.
d. Please note that when a winning work is used for exhibitions and the like stated below, due to circumstances concerning showcasing or otherwise, the tone or expressed meaning, may not be strictly reproduced according to the winner's intent, or the work may be partially cropped for publicity purposes.
e. Please note that no response will be given to any inquiries, complaints, or objections regarding the judges' decisions of the contest.
f. Prizes may be changed without notice.
g. Although entries are handled with the greatest possible care, IT Department will not bear responsibility for accidents, damage, loss, or other problems that occur during data transfer.
h. IT Department will not bear responsibility for entrant damages, etc. arising from or related to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to network failure, computer viruses, or unauthorized access to its servers.
i. IT Department will not bear responsibility for damages or other harm suffered by entrants as a result of their participation in the contest.
j. Entrants are required to obtain the prior permission of the persons who are portrayed in their works or who hold the copyright or other intellectual property rights to the works or the items portrayed therein. Entrants also agree to fully indemnify the organizer and bear all responsibility for any complaints or objections that arise in relation to the above.
k. Entrants agree to fully indemnify the IT Department and bear all responsibility for any third-party complaints or objections concerning copyright or other intellectual- property-right infringement or damages arising from submitted works.
l. If there is a problem related to the similarity of a submitted work to an existing work, etc., the parties involved are responsible for the resolution of that problem. Entrants also agree to fully indemnify the organizer and bear all responsibility for any complaints or objections that arise in relation to the above.
Terms and Conditions
a. IT Department reserves the right to publish entries with the credit titles to its official social networking service accounts throughout the submission period to publicize the contest. Such publication does not guarantee an award of any kind. Some entries might be cropped for publication.
b. IT Department will display the names of the winners and the titles of the winning entries on contest-related websites and official social networking service accounts, at exhibitions, and in other locations where the works are shown. Entrants are requested to familiarize themselves with the "Privacy Notice".
c. Regardless of the above, in cases where it is difficult to give credit, on media such as websites managed by the organizer, etc., official social networking service accounts, or posters, tickets, and pamphlets promoting photo exhibitions and other camera-related events, the IT Department may not give credit.
4. Entries that in the judgment of the IT Department do not conform to these Entry Guidelines will be disqualified. Entrants will not be notified in this event.
5. If a winner is found to be in violation of these Entry Guidelines after a a prize is awarded, the award might be revoked and the entrant requested to return the prize.
Note: These Entry Guidelines will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of UT of J&K.
Awards and Prizes:
Category 1 Winners (above 18 years of age)
a. 1st Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 10,000.
b. 2nd Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 8,000
c. 3rd Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 5,000
d. and 02 consolation prize of 3500/- each
Category 2 Winners (Special Encouragement award) (below 18 years of age)
a. 1st Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 10,000.
b. 2nd Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 8,000
c. 3rd Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 5,000
d. and 02 consolation prize of 3500/- each
