Description: Awareness Video / Reel Contest
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir invites youth, community groups, and volunteers to participate in the Awareness Video / Reel Contest under the national campaign “Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat.” This contest aims to encourage short, powerful digital storytelling that highlights individual and community responsibility in preventing child marriage and promoting the rights, education, and dignity of children, especially girls.
Contest Timelines:
20 January 2026 to 19 February 2026
Theme:
“My Role in Making India Child-Marriage Free”
Objective:
To engage youth and communities through impactful short videos and reels that spread awareness, inspire action, and reinforce collective responsibility toward eliminating child marriage.
Eligibility
• Youth (15–35 years)
• Self-Help Groups (SHGs) / Community Volunteers
• College students
Submission Guidelines
1. Videos must be of 30–90 seconds duration.
2. Participants may upload the video file directly or provide a secure view-only link (YouTube / Google Drive).
3. Videos may be in any language; subtitles are encouraged for wider reach.
4. Only original content created specifically for this contest will be accepted.
5. Each participant/group may submit one entry only.
Content Guidelines
• Content may include an awareness message, real-life experience, pledge, or short skit.
• The video must clearly promote prevention of child marriage.
• Content must not be political, commercial, offensive, or objectionable in nature.
• Participants are responsible for obtaining consent from individuals appearing in the video.
Evaluation Criteria
• Effectiveness and clarity of the message
• Creativity, originality, and authenticity
• Social relevance and emotional connect with the audience

Terms and Conditions
• By submitting an entry, participants grant the IT Department, J&K the right to use the videos for awareness, outreach, and promotional purposes with due credit.
• Entries not conforming to the guidelines will be liable for disqualification.
• All submissions will be governed by the laws applicable in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
General Conditions
1. Entries containing plagiarized content or violating any law shall be liable for disqualification.
2. Content that is defamatory, promotes unlawful activities, or violates intellectual property rights will not be accepted.
3. Commercial or promotional content is strictly prohibited.
4. Participants shall be solely responsible for any legal issues arising from their submissions.
Rewards
• Top three entries will be awarded e-certificates.
